October 30th Injury Report for Houston Rockets vs Dallas Mavericks

October 30, 2026 - 20:35

The Houston Rockets are set to open their Emirates NBA Cup schedule on Friday, October 30th, when they host the Dallas Mavericks. The matchup marks the fourth time this month the two teams have faced off, though the first two meetings came during the preseason and carried little weight.

Friday's game will be the first meaningful contest between the rivals since the regular season began, and it arrives with both sides still working to establish rhythm early in the year. The Rockets have leaned on their young core and a renewed emphasis on defense, while the Mavericks continue to build around their star backcourt and perimeter shooting.

Injury reports will play a role in shaping the rotation for both teams. Houston has been managing minor bumps and bruises across its frontcourt, and the team's training staff will evaluate several players before tipoff. Dallas has its own concerns, with a few rotation players listed as questionable heading into the matchup.

The NBA Cup adds extra stakes to an already familiar rivalry. Group play results count toward advancing in the tournament, and a win on Friday could give either team an early edge in the standings. Coaches and players have downplayed the added pressure, but the atmosphere inside the arena is expected to reflect the heightened importance of the game.

Tipoff is scheduled for the evening, and both teams are expected to provide updated injury designations closer to game time. For Houston, the contest offers a chance to defend home court and make an early statement in tournament play. For Dallas, it is an opportunity to steal a road win against a familiar opponent.
