New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh finally broke his silence on the swirling rumors of a reunion with veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Speaking to reporters during the team's rookie minicamp this weekend, Harbaugh addressed the speculation head-on but stopped short of making any promises.
The 33-year-old Beckham, who famously began his NFL career with the Giants in 2014, has been a free agent since his release from the Baltimore Ravens earlier this offseason. When asked directly if the team had interest in bringing back the three-time Pro Bowler, Harbaugh acknowledged the connection but emphasized the need to evaluate the current roster first.
"Odell is a great player and a great person. We have a lot of history," Harbaugh said, referencing their time together in Baltimore. "Right now, we are focused on the young guys we brought in this weekend. We are looking at everything, but we are not rushing into any decisions."
The coach's comments come as the Giants continue to reshape their receiving corps under new offensive coordinator Mike Kafka. While Beckham's production has declined in recent years due to injuries, his veteran leadership and big-play ability remain attractive to a team looking to support quarterback Daniel Jones.
Harbaugh did not rule out a future signing, stating that the front office will "keep all options open" as training camp approaches. For now, Beckham remains a free agent, and the Giants are taking a measured approach to their roster construction.
