Colts Make Roster Move for Veteran Cornerback
September 14, 2026 - 20:18
In a strategic roster adjustment, the Indianapolis Colts have waived cornerback Johnathan Edwards to clear space for the return of veteran Cam Taylor-Britt. This decision comes as the team looks to strengthen its defensive lineup ahead of the upcoming games.
Edwards, who had been working hard to establish himself, now faces an uncertain future as he becomes a free agent. His time with the Colts was marked by potential, but the team's recent performance and the need for experience in the secondary likely influenced this move.
Taylor-Britt's return is anticipated to bolster the Colts' defensive capabilities, bringing leadership and skill to the cornerback position. The coaching staff is optimistic that his presence will enhance the team's overall performance as they prepare for the challenges ahead in the season. Fans will be watching closely to see how this change impacts the Colts' defensive strategy moving forward.
