Carson Beck throws for 188 yards, TD in impressive preseason debut

Carson Beck's first taste of NFL action went about as well as he could have hoped. The rookie quarterback completed 9 of 14 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown in his preseason debut during the Hall of Fame Game, showing the poise and arm talent that made him a highly touted prospect coming out of college.

Beck looked comfortable from the start, spreading the ball around to multiple receivers and showing good touch on deep throws. His touchdown pass came on a well-placed ball down the sideline, where he fit it into a tight window and let his receiver do the rest. The numbers could have been even better, as a couple of drops and a penalty wiped out what would have been additional chunk plays.
