Vikings Tight End T.J. Hockenson Fully Participates in Thursday Practice

October 23, 2026 - 02:46

Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson was a full participant in Thursday's practice session, marking another positive step in his recovery and availability for the upcoming matchup. The veteran pass catcher has been working his way back into form, and his full participation suggests he is trending in the right direction ahead of the team's next game.

Hockenson has been a key piece of the Vikings offense since arriving in Minnesota, serving as a reliable target in the middle of the field and a threat in the red zone. His presence on the field gives quarterback Kirk Cousins a dependable option on third downs and in critical situations. When healthy, Hockenson consistently draws attention from opposing defenses, which opens up opportunities for teammates on the outside.

The tight end position has been a focal point for the Vikings this season, and having Hockenson at full strength would provide a significant boost to an offense looking to find consistency. His ability to block in the run game also adds value that does not always show up on the stat sheet.

Thursday's practice participation is an encouraging sign for the team as it prepares for its next opponent. Coaches and teammates have praised Hockenson's work ethic and determination throughout his rehab process. If he continues on this trajectory, he should be ready to contribute in a meaningful way on game day. The Vikings will monitor his status closely over the next few days, but all indications point to him being available when it matters most.
