TNT Sports Ends Partnership with NBA TV
June 28, 2025 - 02:48
TNT Sports is set to sever its ties with NBA TV, as Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to discontinue its management of the league-owned network this fall. The decision marks a significant shift in the relationship that began in the 2008-09 season, during which TNT Sports played a crucial role in overseeing NBA TV operations.
Despite ongoing discussions aimed at maintaining this oversight, negotiations ultimately did not succeed. The closure of this partnership indicates a new direction for both entities as they navigate the evolving landscape of sports broadcasting.
As the NBA continues to seek innovative ways to engage its audience, the departure of TNT Sports from NBA TV raises questions about the future of the network and its programming. Fans and industry insiders alike will be watching closely to see how this change impacts the coverage of the league and the content available to basketball enthusiasts. The upcoming season promises to be a pivotal one as both TNT Sports and NBA TV chart their paths forward.
