Riverrock brings festivities, outdoor sports to Belle Isle for 18th year

Richmond's signature outdoor sports and music festival, Riverrock, took over Belle Isle this weekend for its 18th annual celebration. The three-day event drew athletes, families, and plenty of four-legged friends for a packed schedule of activities, live music, and community fun.

From Friday through Sunday, the island transformed into a hub for adventure sports. Competitors tackled rock climbing walls, mountain bike trails, and kayak challenges along the James River. Spectators cheered on runners in trail races and watched dogs compete in dock diving and agility courses. The festival also featured a cornhole tournament and a kids' zone with climbing and games.
