FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- As the Arkansas Razorbacks prepare for a four-game exhibition tour in Nassau, Bahamas, three players stepped up to the microphone to share their thoughts on the upcoming trip and the team's progress. JJ Andrews, Cooper Bowser, and Abdou Toure answered questions from reporters, offering a glimpse into the squad's chemistry and mindset before they leave the country.
Andrews, a returning forward, spoke about the value of bonding away from the court. "Getting on a plane together, staying in a hotel, playing in a different environment -- it brings us closer," he said. He emphasized that the Bahamas games will be a true test of how the new pieces fit alongside the returning core.
Cooper Bowser, a transfer addition, highlighted the physicality of practice so far. "Coach has been pushing us hard. The Bahamas will be a chance to see if that work pays off against real competition," Bowser noted. He also mentioned adjusting to the speed of the SEC, calling the trip a "head start" on the season.
Abdou Toure, known for his defensive energy, focused on the team's identity. "We want to be a team that runs, that pressures the ball, that makes it ugly for the other side," Toure said. He added that the Bahamas exhibitions will help establish that style before the regular season begins.
The Razorbacks are scheduled to play four games in Nassau, facing a mix of international and collegiate opponents. The trip is designed to accelerate team development and give the coaching staff a live look at rotations. Arkansas opens the season in November with high expectations after a busy offseason of roster turnover.
Players expressed excitement about representing the university abroad and using the experience to build momentum. With Andrews, Bowser, and Toure all contributing different voices, the Razorbacks appear focused on growth and unity as they head south.
